Bryan J. Poulin

Strategy and Business Policy

 

Dr. Poulin began his career as a construction and consulting civil engineer in 1970 and has owned his own consulting engineering firm with offices in British Columbia and Calgary, Alberta. Having 30 years experience in business and academia, Bryan Poulin also worked for the Alberta Government as Research Manager from 1982 to 1984.

Upon completion of his M.B.A. from Simon Fraser University in 1987, Bryan Poulin left Canada to teach business strategy and entrepreneurship at a University in New Zealand. There he completed a doctoral degree in 1996 that spans the subjects of strategy, leadership and organizational culture and entrepreneurship.

In 1998 Dr. Poulin returned to Canada to take up his present position teaching and researching in areas related to business and government policy and innovation.

Dr. Poulin has traveled not only to New Zealand and Australia but also to India, Nepal and Bhutan and maintains academic and personal links to South East Asia. He is presently coordinator of research and professional development and enjoys seeing students succeed in their studies and grow as responsible citizens during their time at University and beyond.
