Upon completion of his PhD in Economics
from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, Dr. Gradojević
joined Lakehead University in August 2003.
During his career
he took positions at UBC (teaching and research),
Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis,
The Bank of Canada and in
the private sector (as a consultant). Dr. Gradojević’s research interests
include international finance (market microstructure), empirical asset
pricing (option pricing), technical trading, asset price volatility and
bubbles, and artificial intelligence (neural networks, fuzzy logic, etc.). In
2009, he received the Lakehead University
Contributions to Research Award
that is awarded annually to the top three university researchers.
Dr. Gradojević will be on sabbatical leave at
Rouen Business School (France) from
